Emma Raducanu and Felix Auger-Aliassime eliminated in Indian Wells

Despite a big match, Emma Raducanu lost in the third round of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 on Sunday. The Briton notably cracked in the last game by multiplying the faults in the forehand and offering the match to Petra Martic (6-7 [3], 6-4, 7-5). Raducanu had however made the break in the third set and served for the match before being overtaken. The learning continues for the young British prodigy who has become the player to beat since her surprise victory at the US Open last year.

Auger-Aliassime already eliminated

Among the men, Felix Auger-Aliassime will not go further than the second round. The 9th in the world, author of a superb start to the season – quarter-final at the Australian Open, victory in Rotterdam and final in Marseille – ended up giving in in three sets (7-6 [4]6-7 [4]6-3) against the Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp (47th), quarter-finalist of the last US Open.

Andrey Rublev did not flinch against Dominik Koepfer (7-5, 6-4). Andy Murray, he will have to wait a little longer to celebrate his 701st victory. The Briton was beaten by Alexander Bublik (7-6 [9], 6-3). Also note the qualification of Hubert Hurkacz (11th) for the third round.
