Europa League: Frankfurt takes an option against Betis, Lyon wins in Porto

Eintracht Frankfurt won 1-2 in Sevilla against Betis. Filip Kostic had opened the scoring (14th) and it was Nabil Fekir who equalized at the half-hour mark (30th). A handful of seconds later, the former trudonnaire Daichi Kamada put the Germans back in charge (32nd) and already gave the score its final look despite a penalty awarded to Frankfurt on the return from the locker room but overused by Rafael Borré (52nd). The match took place on a different date so as not to interfere with the meeting between Sevilla FC and West Ham on Thursday evening.

In the other game, Olympique Lyonnais won a great victory at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto thanks to a single goal from Lucas Paqueta (59th). Porto thought they had equalized at the very end of the match but the goal of the former Anderlechtois Chancel Mbemba was canceled for offside (90th + 5). Jason Denayer, back from injury, stayed on the bench the whole game.

The two return matches will take place on Thursday, March 17.
