On Irapuato local authorities fine-tune the last details of the Women’s Tennis Tournament, Guanajuato Open 2022which will take place from March 7 to 13 at the Santa Margarita Golf Club and with which it seeks to encourage economic reactivation and sports tourism.
This tournament will be played within the framework of the 475th Anniversary of the city of Irapuato and International Women’s Day, with the participation of national and international tennis players seeking to be crowned champions.
Local authorities stated that for more than 15 days, Irapuatians will be able to enjoy matches in the Singles and Doubles categories, a fair between more than 60 athletes ranked among the best 100 in the International Tennis Federation (ITF).
Prior to the start of this tournament, they will have their first qualifiers this weekend; municipal authorities and members of the Organizing Committee visited the Santa Margarita Golf Club, official venue of the open.
During the tour, they verified the progress of the preparations for the start of sports activities, which strengthen Irapuato as a sports tourism destination, with the visit of spectators from states such as Aguascalientes, Querétaro, Jalisco, and municipalities such as Salamanca. and Leon.
International athletes will participate in the Guanajuato Open tournament, as well as national tennis players of great prestige, such as Marcela Zacarías and Renata Zarazúa, who, once again, will excite the strawberry fans.
