FC Bayern: Amine Adli explains FCB cancellation and reason for transfer to Bayer Leverkusen
Amine Adli had the choice between Bayer and Bayern. He chose the Werkself and he’s happy with that today.
Amine Adli explained why he decided against moving to Bayern Munich in the summer and switched to Bayer Leverkusen instead. “It’s not easy to say no to Bayern Munich,” said the Frenchman in an interview Sport1. Adli switched to the Werkself from FC Toulouse for 7.5 million euros before the current season. The 21-year-old had previously been traded with the German record champions.
In Leverkusen he simply saw better chances of playing time. “The coach also talked to me a lot. I felt a good spirit, so I went to Leverkusen,” said Adli.

Nevertheless, it was “not an easy decision”. “I talked a lot with my agent and my family. In the end I had to make a decision and I chose Bayer Leverkusen,” he explained.
Adli has made 22 appearances in the Bundesliga and six in the Europa League this season. In these he got four goals and two assists. “I made a good choice,” he said.
Despite his important role in the squad, he still has a lot to learn: “I still have to work on the timing on the field, my finish and the last pass.”
