FC Bayern are 288 million richer, but why isn’t it enough for Lewandowski & Müller? – Bundesliga

Can you imagine? FC Bayern has a bulging account, but will Robert Lewandowski (33) and Thomas Müller (32) lose?

After the 7-1 win against Salzburg, Julian Nagelsmann (34) spoke about this scenario. That is “fundamentally unimaginable”.

On the one hand, FC Bayern will be 288 million euros richer! At least.

In the Champions League, the record champions have already secured around 88 million euros through bonuses and the 10-year success bonus (brings 35.25 million alone). The sum can increase by around 45 million through further successes and the TV money from the “Market Pool”.

And: Bavaria can plan with another 200 million!

SPORT BILD reports exclusively that the contract with main sponsor Telekom has been extended and increased by four years! Bayern will collect more than 50 million per season by 2026 and will receive more money directly.

On the other hand, one wonders: Isn’t all the money enough to keep Müller and Lewandowski?

The contracts of the two expire in 2023. Both Lewandowski and Müller recently remarked inconspicuously that an extension had not yet been discussed with them.

Problem: The longer Bayern waits, the more interesting Lewy (if he leaves, Manchester United wants to make the first offer) and Müller with gala games like against Salzburg for other clubs – and the more expensive they are for Bayern.

Nagelsmann hopes: “I would like to have both for a long time! Because both perform incredibly. My job is done, to signal to them that I am more than willing to continue on the path with them. I hope it’s mutual and that we can work it out.”

HIS job is done – a subtle hint that it’s the bosses turn!

Nagelsmann now even includes Lewy and Müller as “player assistant coaches”: “I have a very good relationship with both of them. I always take both of them with me when it comes to my ideas, the approach – even before the Salzburg game.”

Bayern without Müller, Bayern without Lewandowski – not only unimaginable for Nagelsmann. Do the bosses Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic (missed against Salzburg because of Corona) see it that way?
