The Algarians want to return to the path of victory, after conceding a hard-fought defeat against the Universitat d’Alacant (3-0), one of the toughest teams in the championship. Despite the latest setback, coach Miguel Henarejos highlights the team’s good feelings: “The group competed well against a very difficult opponent. We have been working well, but we must take another step to finish at the top. We have five finals left to be in the top four, which is the goal we have set for ourselves in this final stretch of the league”.
At the moment, the albinegras are seventh with 28 points, but with one game less than the rest of the teams, due to their postponed match against Leleman VB Valencia, which will finally be played on March 16 at 8:00 p.m.
Ahead will be CDU Atarfe, fully involved in the fight for the promotion playoffs, for which only the first two in the group qualify. The Grenadines, who have just added seven of the last nine points, are fourth with 34 points, six behind the promotion. “It is a team that is on the ascending line and very competitive”, in the words of Henarejos.
The game will be at 7:00 p.m. in the El Algar School Pavilion. All fans will be able to enter the venue, without the need to present their season ticket holder. The meeting can also be followed by the streaming of the RFEVB.
