Obtaining the state championship within the Sub15 category of the judo discipline that he achieved during the Conade State Games event recently held in Parral, Chihuahua, the capital’s judoka Fernando Yeray Santillanes Moreno was the protagonist in this competition and incidentally, he obtained its passage to the regional phase.
With just 4 years dedicated to the practice of judo and about to turn 14, the man from the capital has dedicated the victory to his grandfather Pedro Santillanes Márquez, who together with his father, have always fought for the recognition of this discipline in the different tournaments and competitions officially.
He currently represents the Chihuahua team in this sporting process of the Conade Games, always under the baton of his coach and father, Fernando Santillanes, now having in his sights the pre-national event of this sport that will take place in the city of Aguascalientes, the which is scheduled to take place from April 8 to 10.
In the same way, the support of his family has been decisive in this formative process of Fernando Yeray, since his parents Luis Fernando Santillanes and Ninel Moreno have always urged him to improve day by day in this discipline.
Like any good athlete, he does not neglect his academic training, since he is currently studying second grade at Federal Secondary School number 2 in this capital, demonstrating that study and sports can be combined for the comprehensive development of a person.
