FIBA Ranking: France move up to 4th place

The last qualifying window for the 2023 World Cup allows France to move from 5th to 4th place after their two victories against Portugal, 94-56 and 69-56.

France thus doubles Slovenia, which seems logical given that the Blues are Olympic vice-champions, but remember that this ranking takes into account the results of previous years and that Slovenia had been European champion in 2017.

The other change in the top 10 sees Greece overtaking Italy for 9th place. The Greeks picked up two wins over Turkey – 72-71 at home and 76-67 in Istanbul – while Italy suffered a 107-105 defeat in Iceland before bouncing back with a 95-87 win at home to the Europeans North.
