Then we have Colombia, also perfect in their group, facing a resilient Paraguay team. What are your initial thoughts on these matchups?
marta: It’s a fantastic set of games. Brazil is obviously the favorite, setting the tone with a phenomenal performance in the group stage. Six goals against Venezuela! That’s simply brilliant! Flavinha and Jhonson are players to watch for sure. But Chile has always been a tough competitor, and they’ll be looking to pull off an upset.
As for Colombia versus Paraguay, Paraguay showed real grit and determination to secure their spot. Colombia, tho, they possess amazing attacking power.

Marta: It’s immense pressure, no doubt. Some teams might thrive under it, playing their best football when the stakes are high, while others might crumble. It’s all about how they handle the mental aspect of the game. The team with the strongest mentality, the one that can focus on their game plan and handle the pressure, will likely come out on top.
Host: Absolutely. Now, you’ve achieved incredible things as a player, and you’ve dedicated your post-playing career to nurturing young talent. What advice would you give to these young women as they prepare for this critical stage?
Marta: My advice is simple: trust in your abilities. You’ve worked tirelessly to get to this point, and you have the talent and determination to succeed. Don’t let the pressure define your performance. Focus on the joy of the game, on playing together as a team, and on giving your absolute best. the results will follow.
