THY Euroleague management suspended the participation of 4 Russian teams competing in EuroLeague and EuroCup.
Here is the statement from Euroleague;
Participation of Russian Federation teams in both THY Euroleague (CSKA Moscow, UNICS Kazan, Zenit St Petersburg) and EuroCup, 7DAYS EuroCup (Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar) has been suspended.
Euroleague management will constantly monitor the progress of the situation. If there is no positive trend, all matches of the Russian teams will be deemed to have been canceled in order for the league to be ranked.
Euroleague management and clubs reiterate their firm commitment to peace against all forms of violence and warfare and will continue to raise their voices to promote respect, inclusion and diversity, values ββat the core of the organization and teams.
