Absolutely. This marks their fourth consecutive win in the qualifying rounds, cementing their place as a dominant force in European handball. Do you think this team has what it takes to go all the way in the Euro 2022 tournament?

But these girls are Olympic champions for a reason. they know how to perform under pressure, and I have there’s no doubt whatsoever they’ll be vying for the gold medal.

It’s been quite a journey for this team, especially considering they are reigning Olympic champions.

Isabelle Gulldén: Winning the Olympics undoubtedly provides a huge confidence boost. It validates their hard work and talent, and it instills a belief within the team that they can achieve anything.

That being said, maintaining that level of performance after such a momentous achievement is no easy feat. The pressure can be immense.

Isabelle Gulldén: You’re absolutely right. There’s always a risk of complacency after a major victory, but I haven’t seen any signs of that from this team.

They seem driven, focused, and hungry for more success. The fact that they’ve secured qualification with two matches to spare speaks volumes about their determination.

Now, looking ahead to the Euros, what aspects of France’s game do you think will be crucial to their success?

Isabelle Gulldén: Their defense is absolutely phenomenal. It’s rock-solid, well-organized, and capable of shutting down even the most potent attacks.

On the offensive side, they have phenomenal shooters and playmakers, able to create scoring opportunities from seemingly unfeasible situations.

But, perhaps most importantly, it’s their team spirit and camaraderie that truly set them apart.

They play for each other, support each other, and never give up. Those intangible qualities can make all the difference on the big stage.
