The calendar of sporting events in Riccione for 2022 is enriched with new appointments, starting with the Judo European Open, scheduled between 10 and 11 September. The agreement for the international event was reached during the recent visit to Rome by the Tourism Councilor Stefano Caldari with other sector managers. Meanwhile, the twenty-fourth international week ‘Coppi e Bartali’ sponsored by the Municipality of Riccione will be held from 22 to 26 March. Despite the pandemic, twenty national and international sporting events were recorded in 2021, which with the arrival of 26,600 athletes and 55,328 companions generated 245,000 admissions, a considerable number that produced 12 million hotel sales and an induced amount of 30 million euros. .
