On matchday 2 in the Women’s Super League, Genk and Club Brugge were unable to score. Neither team makes progress with a point: Genk remains last, Standard can jump over Club to third place tomorrow.
On the opening day of Play-off 1 in the WSL, the ladies of Club had received a blow from OHL (6-0) and Genk was a size too small for Anderlecht (2-1). Both teams had the chance to pick themselves up on Friday.
In the first half it was the visitors who could be dangerous, but Buabadi and Matavkova collided with the Genk goalkeeper. Just before half time, the roles were reversed and it was the Bruges goalkeeper Geeraert who had to distinguish herself on a Genk attempt.
In the second half there were again few sparks in the game. Both teams could do nothing about a scoreless tie.
The division of points does not help Genk, Club can see Standard jump to 3rd place tomorrow, but then the team from Liège will have to beat leader Anderlecht.
