This morning the League has transcended the new salary limits of the teams of First and Second Division after the modifications of the winter market. Girona, which in the summer, was in the ranking as the lowest in the whole category with 3.98 million euros. That figure, however, was not entirely true because the club had a permit from the League to surpass itself. Now, things have changed and Girona has a salary cap of 9.35 million euros. The increase in the margin is the result of the application in the calculation of the money of the mutual fund CVC, which has already entered the club. In any case, despite the fact that the salary cap has been raised by 5.37 million, this does not mean that Girona has used everything. In fact, he only made two moves in the winter market: the transfer of Iván Martín and the signing of Víctor Sánchez. Girona had a little more than 30 million euros from the CVC fund, of which it was entitled to allocate 15% to the salary cap.
