Favorable results were obtained by athletes from Gomez-palatinos who participated in the state elections that took place in recent days, to integrate the selection of the state of Durango that will attend the National Games of the National Sports Commission (Conade) 2022.
The Sports Directorate reported that of a total of 185 participants who represented Gómez Palacio in various disciplines, 113 obtained the pass to the pre-nationals, which will be held on dates that will be announced later.
The state selective games or competitions were held in different venues in the state of Durango, including Gómez Palacio and the capital itself.
According to the results, the men’s indoor volleyball team went to the Olympics with 13 out of 14 students who attended the selective, while the women’s team passed 20 out of 30 students.
In athletics, 10 students out of a total of 14 participants were winners while in associated wrestling they were eight out of 10.
On the other hand, in men’s basketball three students out of 10 passed; nine out of 15 in baseball, and three out of five in weightlifting.
Similar results were obtained in other disciplines such as beach volleyball, tae kwon do, cycling, judo, softball, women’s soccer and box, since in general terms the athletes from Gómez Palacio had an outstanding participation, since they were preparing for several months to these competencies.
