The Orange duo (WR-51) won after an exciting match 15-21, 21-17 and 21-19 against Christo and Toma Junior Popov (WR-30) from France.
In the mixed doubles Robin Tableing/Selena Piek (WR-20) took revenge on the Japanese couple Naru Shinoya / Kyohei Yamashita (WR-42) for the lost eighth final at the last World Cup. Tableing and Piek controlled the game and won 21-17 and 21-15.
Mark Caljouw (WR-25) played a strong match in the men’s singles against Lee Zi Jia (WR-7) from Malaysia, but lost 19-21, 21-13 and 21-8.
In the women’s doubles, Debora Jille and Cheryl Seinen (WR-65) lost 21-12 and 21-15 to Treesa Jolly / Gayatri Gopichand Pullela (WR-57) from India.
