“Man, its about damn time! Pop deserves every bit of recognition coming his way. He’s a true legend, and I’m just incredibly honored to say I played for him. This isn’t just about wins, though; it’s about the culture he built in San Antonio.He changed the game, man, on and off the court.”

Stephen, you played for many teams throughout your career, but your time in San Antonio was clearly special. What’s your one lasting memory of playing for Coach Popovich?

“Man,there are so many. But I’ll never forget the 2007 Finals. We were down 3-2 to the Cavaliers, and Pop told us, “We’re going to Cleveland, and we’re going to win this thing.” and we did. That’s Pop for you – calm under pressure,always believing in his team. It was an honor to be a part of it.”
