The city of Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do announced on the 29th that it will fully open its indoor public sports facilities, which were temporarily closed to prevent the local spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), from April 1.
The city had originally decided to extend the closure from December last year to April 3 this year, but explained that it was opened two days earlier as citizens’ fatigue and desire to use the sports facilities increased due to the prolonged closure of indoor sports facilities.
Accordingly, indoor public sports facilities such as the Wolmyeong indoor swimming pool, the National Sports Center, and the indoor badminton court will be fully opened, but the number of people using the same time will be limited to 50% to prevent crowding.
A city official urged, “When using public sports facilities, strictly follow the quarantine rules, such as maintaining distance and wearing a mask.”
