A few days after the resignation of Mauricio Pellegrino as coach of Vélez, the vacant position on the Fortín bench has already begun to ring. One of them has been that of the Spaniard and former Real Madrid footballer, José María Gutiérrez ‘Guti’, who at 45 is without a position in any club.
According to information from Double Yellowthe coach would be to the liking of the club’s board, and has been offered to Vélez through an intermediary to be born as an option to reach the First Division of Argentina.
‘Guti’ has had experience on the bench for past seasons. He started his career in the lower categories of the Real Madridwith the youth team, and later focused on Turkey to train the Besiktas (club of which he was a player), later returning to Spain to lead the Almeria in the Second Division of the country.
The Liniers club is looking for a new coach to occupy the position for the rest of the season, and replace Mauricio Pellegrino in the project they want to carry out in the Fortín.
