Forward of the Latvian national football team Vladislavs Gutkovskis together with the team of Czestochowa “Rakow” reached the semi-finals of the Polish Cup on Tuesday. Trophy keeper Rakow defeated the team of the second league in Gdynia “Arka” in the quarterfinals with 2: 0 (1: 0).
Gutkovskis left the field after 55 minutes and had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. Sebastian Mussolik scored the first goal in the 20th minute of the match. Last season, Gutkowski scored with goals in all five rounds of the Polish Cup in which the Rakow team played. This season they were his second goal in the cup matches.
In previous rounds, Gdansk’s Lechia, represented by midfielder Krister Tober, lost sensationally to the fourth league team Swit, but before that Lechia stopped Belastok’s Jagiellonia team, represented by goalkeeper Pavel Steinbor.
