That Haaland and his family are in love with Spain is an open secret. Especially from Marbella, a town where a little over a year ago the Norwegian’s family acquired a house where the player and his parents enjoyed the Christmas holidays. Alf-Inge, father of Erling who is now 49 years old, is passionate about golf and in Marbella he has found the ideal corner to express his passion.

But Haaland, 21, is so convinced that Spain can be his second homeland after Norway that he has decided to take a step forward and buy a house for himself. Specifically, it has signed a deposit contract to acquire a property in the residential area of Nagüeles, with an off-plan value of 6.5 million euros.

This green-covered neighborhood offers unique potential in the Marbella market, as it forms part of the area known as the ‘Golden Mile’, located a few minutes from the center of the tourist town of Malaga, Puerto Banus and the best beaches and beach bars in the city.

Haaland is already part of the Marbella landscape. It is common to see him in trendy restaurants and nightclubs in the city. In fact, last New Year’s Eve there were several Madrid fans who came to the local cups where he said goodbye to the year with Real Madrid shirts, and he was photographed with them without modesty. The Norwegian is used to being seen, although being an area frequented mainly by foreign tourists, he feels almost like one more there.

Some of those fans who have approached Haaland in those days confessed to AS that when asked “Haaland, are you coming to Spain next season?” The answer was always “yes”, in perfect Spanish. He even added to some of those madridistas for peace of mind “I’ll go to your team”.

As AS has already informed you, the Norwegian giant is clear that this summer he must leave Borussia Dortmund in view of the fact that his sporting progression is stagnating in the Ruhr area team. The Bundesliga is already lost, they were out of the Champions League and they are also eliminated from the Europa League.

Haaland has confessed to those around him that the only way to continue growing professionally is to climb a step in the team that will enjoy his indisputable goalscoring production: He has 80 goals in 79 games for Dortmund, averaging more than one goal per game. His eagerness to leave now and play for Madrid is much closer than is believed. It’s his time.
