Concerns within the Haas team about a possible delay in starting the final three-day test in Bahrain have been allayed. The Formula 1 team has had a terrible preparation so far, given the problems that have surfaced with the new car during the first test in Barcelona.
That was quickly followed by the problems with main sponsor Uralkali. Given the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which forced the team to remove all logos. Haas has since terminated the contract with Uralkali, owned by oligarch Dmitry Mazepin and with his son Nikita. It is currently busy finding a replacement driver, with Pietro Fittipaldi initially taking part in the test at the Bahrain International Circuit.
Delay
However, reports surfaced that Haas’ cargo would not arrive in Bahrain on time. The first day of winter testing in Bahrain will start on Thursday. The plane carrying Haas’ cargo was grounded after technical problems. The cargo will remain in London at the moment, but a Haas spokesman confirms that it will arrive on Tuesday morning and will therefore be in time for the start of winter testing.
