There is also a lot to be said for the Hamburg-Altona District Court that Bakery Jatta and Bakary Daffeh are one and the same person. Curiously, this is still a big win for the HSV professional.
Because the good news for the club and fans is apparently: Jatta is the original, Daffeh was the fake for a few years.
He is said to have made himself two years older than Daffeh in 2011 in order to be able to play in the first division in Gambia and later Nigeria. When he entered Germany in 2015, he assumed his true identity again.
That would explain why the soccer professional Daffeh has been swallowed up off the face of the earth since 2015 and why Jatta used an email address in the name of Daffeh here.
SPORT BILD and BILD asked the question in 2019 because of the many contradictions: Is Jatta really Daffeh?
He himself did not want to comment on it at the time. So the district court has now given the answer: No, the Gambian U20 international Daffeh was probably actually Jatta.
At the latest after this court victory, Jatta should tell his true story.
