Hartberg’s neo-trainer Klaus Schmidt “What about the Haberer?”

Klaus Schmidt (*October 21, 1967) has come a long way in his career. The Styrian was an assistant coach from 2000 to 2007 NO and also became champion with the traditional club in 2004. He later became an assistant coach Austria Carinthia (2007/08) and at Wiener Neustadt (2008/09) before following the call of Josef Hickersberger to the Middle East. First Schmidt was assistant coach of the national team of Bahrainthen later from Al Wahda (Abu Dhabi).

In 2012 he worked at the ÖFB as an assistant coach U-21 national team, before the first real task as head coach awaited. In the spring of 2013, Klaus Schmidt trained the Kapfenberg SV in the second division. Half a year followed Austria Salzburg before he died in the fall of 2014 Wacker Innsbruck was committed.

From Innsbruck we went on Blue and White Linz (2016/’17), followed by one season each in Altach and in Mattersburg. From September 2019 to February 2020 Schmidt coached the Admire, after a one-year break, he was reactivated by Admira last April and managed to stay up with the club. Nevertheless, the southern townspeople parted from the relegation hero.
