Michael Ludwig Hari Yanto Arby (born January 21, 1972) is a badminton player from Indonesia who was rated as one of the few single players in the world in the 1990s. He is the younger brother of Eddy Hartono and Hastomo, who are also world-class badminton players.

Hard Smashing Arbi was one of the most internationally successful players of his contemporaries, an impressive cadre of Indonesian singles. These include Ardy Wiranata, Joko Suprianto, Alan Budikusuma, Hermawan Susanto and Hendrawan. Interestingly, he didn’t win the title of Indonesian Open Singles, which Wiranata dominated in the ’90s. This gold and Olympic gold medal were the only awards he could not avoid after being eliminated from the bronze medal match in 1996. He won the coveted All-England Open Singles title in 1993 and 1994, and in 1995 he won the biennial IBF World Championship. Singles from the Indonesian team that won the Thomas Cup (World Men’s Team) titles in 1994, 1996, 1998 and 2000 consecutive years.

Arbi’s other individual championships include Chinese Taipei Open (1993, 1994), Japan Open (1993, 1995), World Cup (1994), Hong Kong Open (1995), Korea Open (1995), Singapore Open (1997, 1999), Southeast Asia Asian Games (1997) and 4th Asian Games Badminton Competition (1994).
