How Slavia Blessed the Crisis in One Month: A Reflection of Certainty and a Reach into the Unknown

At the beginning of February, Slavia’s fans did not believe what was happening to their beloved team. The staplers lost to the last Karviná in the league and after a horrible performance they lost at home in the cup with Sparta. But this light crisis was quickly averted.

Eighteen shots against Karviná and 72% possession of the ball. In vain, result 0: 1. Not even a goal against Sparta, poor performance and a score of 0: 2. The first home defeat in a derby since 2014.

The most pessimistic fans of the red and whites fell into a slight panic. Is Slavia in crisis? Why didn’t the club replace the departures of the key supports of Stancia and Kuchta? Isn’t this the end of the era? Trpišovský needed only a month to answer these questions and cut them off with a vigorous NO.

Stitching at the start of spring, they were looking for a face. But practically every time they have a slower start to the season, as they still have a lot of preparation on their feet. However, it subsequently benefits from it for half a year.

In addition, the departure of two supports made the situation more difficult for the sewing this year. By law, the stitched fans could panic. However, not the implementation team, which adapted everything to make Slavia back on the winning wave.

Bounce off a won victory

After losing in the cup derby, Slavia had only three days to prepare for a tough duel in Slovakia. She left for Uherské Hradiště with two zeros on her goal, an offensive ruin and great embarrassment. The match with Slovácko was especially important given that a few hours later Sparta faced Pilsen and the result could help the stitchers a lot.

And Slavia’s coaches adapted everything to that. It was not a nice sight in Slovácko, the stitchers bet on a dangerous defense, they often resorted to unusual trenches for defense, there were a lot of fights in the game, there are few chances. Nevertheless, one wonderful action was achieved, which resulted in a goal. In the second half of the stitching, they guarded the defended lead and took a deep breath.

At that moment, no one cared how Slavia won. It was important to earn 3 points at all costs, from which stitching bounces off for better performance and results. This has succeeded, since then Lingr et al. they are pulling a winning series of six wins, advancing in Europe, winning the derby and most importantly, the jammed attacking machine has finally started. Slavia shines again in the offensive, she has scored 15 goals since the bitter start.

Touching the unknown

Coach Trpišovský is known for having a lot of courage in choosing a team. He is not afraid to reach into the unknown and in the vast majority of cases it pays off. The move with Plavšič on the back did not go as planned, so David Jurásek stood on the back in Slovácko, who took out his football boots in the cabin in Eden barely a few days ago. And he did great, as did the derby, where he was one of the best on the field, even though it was his first big match.

At Fenerbahka, Trpišovský shocked his team again when he used a 3-5-2 formation, sending Ivan Schranz to the right halfbek and the newcomer Sora to attack. No one knew what to expect from him, but the 46-year-old coach had a golden hand again. Sor scored a goal, his active concept and speed was hugely valid for stitchers. He also earned the basic line-up in retaliation, where he scored two goals with a stitched procedure. Bingo.

David Hovorka was the third target to reach the unknown. He didn’t kick the ball for over 13 months, putting him in a sharp derby without a single minute after such a long time seemed like utter madness. However, Trpišovský is not afraid of them and sent his “devil” to the hardest possible match. The 28-year-old stopper managed it with absolute grace, they broke the teeth of Čvančar, Hložek and Karabec.

Trpišovský thus showed that he is not afraid to take risks, but most importantly – that in the vast majority of cases he takes risks. Mainly thanks to this, the talk of crises is blessed and Slavia is again the dreaded leader of the competition.
