In a great match, Hurlingham took a great victory from Villa del Parque

GEVP could not become strong at home and was defeated 75 to 81 by Defensores de Hurlingham, for the seventh date of the Federal League.

A great show took place at the Omar Monza Stadium. It was a vibrant, physical and very close match until the last minute. Both teams were looking for their second victory in the tournament that would allow them to move away from the last position in their zone. Both pivots stood out at the venue, Zekas with 21 points and Actis with 23 and 10 rebounds. On the visiting side, Segon and Cabezas were the highlights of their team with 17 and 16 units respectively.

From the beginning it was an even and intense match. Although they maintained a great effectiveness during the first quarter, Parque was more erratic in some of his shots and the visitors managed to get a minimal advantage on the scoreboard. Those led by Bacchini had a very energetic start to the second quarter in defense and with a couple of quick transitions in attack they achieved a 7-0 run to go ahead. However, Hurlingham reacted quickly and the first half ended 34-39 in favor of the visitors.

The dynamics, intensity and rhythm of the game continued throughout the second half. After several changes of leadership in the result, they reached the last quarter tied at 59. Gevp managed to take the lead with a triple by Prandi with a few minutes to go. However, they could not sustain that momentum and those led by Petrantonio, in a flurry and with a couple of consecutive triples, made the biggest difference in the match (69-79). The locals could not react and lost 75 to 81 against the Hurlingham team.

Parque reaps one win and five losses, while Defensores added their second victory with four losses. On the next date those from Villa del Parque will visit Los Indios de Moreno and Defensores will rest since they will have a free date.
