A New Era for DIM: Adidas unveils its Frist Kit
Anticipation is building for the unveiling of Deportivo Independiente Medellín’s (DIM) new jersey, designed by Adidas. Rumors have been circulating for a year about the German sportswear giant’s partnership with the Antioquia team, and now the countdown has officially begun.
On March 7th, DIM’s Instagram account (@dimoficialcom) released a teaser video featuring three club legends: David González, mauricio Molina, and Jhon Javier Restrepo. The trio, gathered in the iconic red dressing room of the atanasio Girardot stadium, shared their excitement about the upcoming kit.
“The most crucial aspect for me is the color – a vibrant, modern red,” remarked ‘Choronta’ (Molina). ‘mao’ (Restrepo) added, “There’s a special touch, the design is truly impressive.” González chimed in, expressing his enthusiasm for seeing the iconic three stripes on the DIM jersey.
This collaboration marks a meaningful milestone for DIM, as Adidas becomes the 15th brand and the second German company to design their kits in the club’s illustrious 100-year history. Puma, the first German brand to partner with DIM, initially collaborated in 1985.
Over the decades, DIM has partnered with a diverse range of sportswear brands, including Colombian, english, Brazilian, Spanish, and Japanese companies.This rich history reflects DIM’s enduring legacy and its commitment to sporting excellence.

There was a real sense of anticipation. we’re all eager to see the final product, and seeing those three stripes on a DIM shirt just reinforces this feeling of excitement for the future.
Moderator: Speaking of the iconic red, Molina mentioned that the color was crucial. Do you feel Adidas has managed to capture the essence of DIM’s spirit through its pigmentation
