SOLIDARIDAD, Q. ROO.- The Mexican National Team left without victories in the Wheelchair Basketball Championship of the Americas, which takes place at the Puerto Maya Sports Unit of Puerto Aventuras in the municipality of Solidaridad.
The quintet led by Adrián Figueroa fell in the third game of the first round 34-79 against Canada. The “Maple Leaf” painting achieved its second victory after beating its similar team from Brazil earlier.
Despite the defeat, the Mexican National Team was happy with the experience in this type of international tournament.
“These have been complicated games, we have lacked time to be able to adapt and improve communication between us as a team on the field, but we are getting along little by little, we are a team mixed with youth and experience, we have been showing a better level game by game. match and this will give us better results in the future”, commented Esteban Espadas, from Quintana Roo, a member of the Mexican team.
