BOLASPORT.COM – The coach of Bogor LavAni, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), did not expect his team to win the 2022 Proliga competition.
The men’s volleyball match from the 2022 Proliga Grand Final brought together Surabaya Bhayangkara Samator against Bogor LavAni.
The two best teams during the 2022 Proliga were pitted against the Police General Kunarto’s Volleyball Padepokan, Sentul, West Java, Sunday (27/3/2022).
The surprise occurred after Surabaya Bhayangkara Samator lost to Bogor LavAni, who in fact was the debutant team, with a score of 2-3 (27-25, 25-19, 25-20, 18-21, and 10-15).
As for Bogor LavAni, this victory is a historical record because they succeeded in becoming champions in their first year in the Proliga.
AHY, who was present in person at the competition arena, admitted that he still did not expect the results obtained by Bogor LavAni in the 2022 Proliga.
According to the son of the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), also the founder of LavAni, his team was initially only targeted to gain experience.
“We just want to be able to have experience in Proliga, then have the next flight time,” said AHY after last night’s match.
