San Lorenzo’s basketball returned to compete in the National League after the FIBA window stoppage. And they did it with a hard-fought victory at the Roberto Pando Sports Center against Platense after equalizing at 70 in regular time and beating Vicente López’s team 86-77.
The game was even from the start. So much so that they tied in each of the first two quarters to go into the break 37-37. El Ciclón improved and went ahead by seven in the third set, but could not hold it and El Calamar reacted and took the match to extra time, where Álvaro Castiñeira’s team dominated and was able to add another victory.
Leandro Cerminato was the most outstanding player for San Lorenzo with 18 points, 13 rebounds and a couple of assists. But Matías Sandes followed him further behind in scoring from close range with 16 points and Lucas Pérez, Agustín Pérez Tapia and Facundo Rutemberg finished with 15.
¡@CASLABasquet March kicked off with a bang!
