James Rodríguez in Al Rayyan absence due to Qatar League worries Colombia National Team, Qualifiers | Colombians Abroad

24 hours ago it was speculation but now it is a certainty: James Rodriguez not available in Al-Rayyan for a physical issue. Which one? That is the big question.

The Colombian had been reported by local media as missing from Al Rayyan for this Tuesday’s duel, against the leader of the Qatar League, Al Sadd, and this news has been confirmed in the official call.

What happened this time? It is not a side question in the case of a player with a history of important injuries, only 16 days before the World Cup Qualifiers and necessary in a Colombian National Team that must seek the miracle against Bolivia and Venezuela, on March 24 and 29.

Unofficial information has to do with a possible muscle problem, which the left-hander would have suffered in the last loss for the Emir Cup. Initially it had been suggested that it was a coup, which would be a more encouraging part with so little to go before the commitment of the national team. But the club only reported it as an absence without giving details:

It is said that last Saturday, in that duel against Al Wakrah, he would have preferred to go out so as not to risk and be qualified for the duels against Al Shamal (March 11) and for an eventual call-up in the Colombian National Team.

The Colombian team already lost in the first half against the most powerful club in Qatar, Al Sadd, but this time without his contribution. Al Rayyan is tenth with 21 points.
