From this year to the end of next year, the indoor gymnasium will be built around the Jangdong World Cup Stadium, where a multi-purpose gymnasium that can play various ball games such as basketball, volleyball, handball, and badminton, including professional basketball Jeonju KCC home games, will be built.

With a total project cost of 52.2 billion won, it will be built on a site area of ​​21,186 m2, with a total floor area of ​​19,078 m2, with 1 basement level and 3 above-ground floors, with a capacity of 6,000 seats.

The city of Jeonju selected a design plan under the theme of ‘On (蘊) scenery’ through a design competition for the new construction of the Jeonju Indoor Gymnasium, and plans to complete the detailed design by the end of this month.

After that, the full-scale construction will begin in May and be completed in December next year.

As the new indoor gymnasium in Jeonju is being built as the only indoor gymnasium in the Jeonbuk region that can hold various domestic and international sports such as volleyball, handball, badminton, and gymnastics as well as basketball, it provides citizens with opportunities to enjoy sports and It is expected to revitalize the local economy by attracting international sports competitions.
