Sunday, February 27, in Toulouse, was held the International Tournament of Saint-Cyprien. This tournament, considered the most difficult in France, was a day of glory for Anja Loubière, from the Ours de Grisolles. This young judoka is one of the very few in the region to have won this international tournament.
Author of a flawless run, Anja won her three fights before the limit and reached the semi-finals. There he faced a young judoka from Spain; short fight won in 30 seconds. Later, in the final, on the central mat, Anja met another Spanish opponent from Madrid. One minute was enough for him to clinch the title.
Anja therefore won this prestigious tournament with, as a gift, a beautiful kimono and the pleasure of hearing the “Marseillaise”, all in front of many spectators. This young judoka from Grisol is one of the favorites for the gold medal at the French championship to be held in Paris at the end of March.
