Julien De Sart, future Red Devil? “It would be abnormal if he was not in the selection in March”

Julien DeSart, indisputable holder at La Gantoise, was the guest of La Tribune this Monday evening. Still committed on all three fronts, the Buffalos are having a more than interesting season and the former Standard midfielder certainly has a lot to do with it.

Whereas Robert Martinez is going to take players under the bar of fifty selections for the matches of the month of March, can the 27-year-old player be part of this list? The answer is unanimous for the consultants present on the set.

Stephan Streker no doubt. “If Martinez takes ultra-beginners, I’ll take De Sart, Nikola Storm and Manuel Benson“.

On his side, Phillip Albert emphasizes the regularity of Alexis’ brother. “His season at Ghent is excellent but that’s nothing new. He had already done so in Kortrijk. The regularity has been there for several seasons. It would be abnormal if he was not in the selection in March”.

At last, Nordin Jbari also pleads for a selection of Ghent in the national team. “He deserves to be there for two things. Given the cards he takes, it proves that he is going to duel. But above all, it is a medium that produces play and Martinez likes that. He is a player experienced now”.

And what does the main interested party think? “I don’t necessarily think about that. Obviously I have goals, I’ve wanted to be in the national team since I was twelve. I try to be consistent, successful and good with my club. If that brings me a selection, it will be a great source of pride”.
