Kevin Durant let Kyrie Irving shine in the last game. It’s his turn to show his fangs. While his friend was deprived of ground for the reasons that we know, KD made the show during the New York derby. The Knicks fought well, Evan Fournier (25 pts and 5 wt at 9/13) in the lead, but Durant was just too strong.

The double MVP of the Finals scored 53 points (his best total in the NBA this season) by returning the 3-point shot to turn in the lead with 56 seconds remaining and four free throws in the money time. Kevin Durant also added 9 assists and 6 rebounds while falling just one point off his career high.

This is the third straight victory for the Nets, still 8th with three victories behind the first direct qualifier for the playoffs, Cleveland.

– Two of the hottest NBA teams met at TD Garden tonight, Boston and Dallas. The Mavs managed to create a little surprise by winning at the finish on Celtics land. Alternately, Luka Doncic (26 pts, 8 rbds, 8 pds) and Spencer Dinwiddie scored 3 points in money time to allow the Texans to take over.

The evening was marked by the retirement of the jersey of Kevin Garnettin the presence of Ray Allen by his side. The hatchet is buried!

The image of the evening: Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce entwined, finally at peace

– Anthony Davis is not playing at the moment, but he has found a way to annoy the Suns. By repeating before the game that the Lakers would have beaten Phoenix last year in the playoffs if he had not been injured, the interior of the Lakers gave extra motivation to his opponents. Result: a big victory for the title finalists, with a tandem Devin Booker (30 pts)-Deandre Ayton (23 pts, 16 rbds) in great shape and unable to LeBron James (31 pts in 30 min) to play the heroes like in the last match.

– Bad news never comes alone for the Lakers, New Orleans won at the same time at home against Houston and returned to a victory for the Californians, 8th in the West.

The Pelicans, who remained on 4 defeats in a row, relied on Jonas Valanciunas (32 pts, 10 rebounds) and Jaxson Hayes (21 pts).

– The Sixers suffered in Orlando and had to go through overtime to win. Joel Embiid (35 pts, 16 rebounds) and his team were still down by 4 points at 1:25 from the end of overtime but turned the tide against the worst record in the NBA.

– Despite the good understanding of the tandem Tyrese Haliburton Buddy Hield (25 pts each), the Pacers could not prevent Bring Young to pull off a one-man show and guide the Hawks to success. The All-Star point guard scored 33 of his 47 points in the first half to put Atlanta on the right track. The Hawks are back to 9th in the East, just ahead of Charlotte, thanks to this victory.

– The Pistons once again posed big problems for an opponent. The Clippers, however, survived an 18-point deficit to narrowly win thanks in particular to two former Detroit players, Marcus Morris (31 pts) and Luke Kennard (16 pts). Ty Lue’s players are 7 wins ahead of their Lakers neighbors and won’t be joined.

– For the return of Dillon Brooksthe Grizzlies won on the OKC floor, despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 31 points and Darius Bazley’s double-double (29 pts, 10 rebounds).

Incumbent, Théo Maledon compiled 9 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal, while his comrade Olivier Sarroff the bench, finished with 2 points and 4 rebounds in 16 minutes.
