If he made the news for the well-deserved withdrawal of his jersey in Boston on the night of Sunday to Monday, Kevin Garnett is never the last to give his opinion on just about everything. And when it came time to talk about the Lakers, in big trouble this season, the Big Ticket surprised…
One more. Destroyed to historic proportions by Phoenix last night the Lakers added another humiliation to their season collection. With a record of 29 wins for 38 losses, LeBron James and his clique seem condemned to this poor 9th place, synonymous with play-in tournament and the need to win 2 games without losing any to join the playoffs.
There is no guarantee at this stage, of course, that the Angelinos will indeed be in the game, they who should cross swords with the Wolves or Clippers – two teams which have already corrected them during the regular season. Sure, the LeBron James card could be a last hope, but can the Akron native still carry a team to the playoffs at 37 against the crème de la crème on both sides of the court? Not so sure.
Kevin Garnett seems to ignore it, but there’s a 95% chance his opinion will come back in his face like a boomerang in a few weeks. Until then, Lakers fans will be hanging on to what they can…
