The qualification competitions for the Italian judo cadet championships were held in Follonica, in which the best young people of Tuscany participated. Several athletes from the Prato area got on the tatami with encouraging results. Starting with the largest delegation, headed by the Kodokan Sant’Angelo di Comeana. For the Carmignano club, Alex Carta in the “QD” category (with teammate Niccolò Lombardi finished fifth) and Sofia Kubler in the “U18 +70 kg” climbed to the top step of the podium. Alessandro Frosali then won a silver medal among the “U18 -55 kg”, while Mattia Zotti harpooned a bronze in the “U18 -66 kg” category. The Prato Academy also took part in the highest regional youth competition: Dario Dabizzi finished in tenth position among the U18 – 55 kg and Niccolò Vanni in eleventh place among the QDs.
