Celta Vigo played a fantastic match with Mallorca, which offered the spectators seven goals! In the nerve-wracking conclusion, the Celta players were a little happier, who, like Mallorca, kicked a penalty and, thanks to it, decided to win a close victory over the fighting island team.
Both teams entered the match very actively and in the first moments they struggled for more possession of the ball. Fourteen minutes later, Celta was the first to score a goal, which was sent to the lead by Thiago Galhardo. He ran into the lime and was at the ball bounced from the crossbar first of all, so he was able to tap him into the net.
But Mallorca made up the move very soon. Less than three minutes later, when the guests actively broke into the lime and the ball went through the whole lime after a quick pass, except for the free Giovanni González. He slipped on the back bar to the ball in time and got him into the net – 1: 1.
But Celta showed both greater appetite and more ability to move forward. And so, after twenty-eight minutes, she took the lead again. Denis Suárez ran onto a great ball from the right, but the visitors’ defense were able to clear the ball. VAR still dealt with the whole situation, but in the end he realized that the goal was valid.
The home team could only increase the lead a few minutes later, when Suárez leaned back into the ball, this time from a slightly greater distance. His shot came in from the right hand side but Sergio Rico managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. However, the start of half number two was more successful in Mallorca. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 25 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving Kubo completely unmarked. There, the defender Joseph Aidoo got to the ball in time and headed exactly to the place he did not want at all. It was her own goal.
However, the home players were able to react to the unfortunate shot in time. The third goal for today’s home match was secured by the shooter Iago Aspas, who got the ball after the cellar from a teammate and Aspas was already able to shoot him into the net.
But the enthusiastic home galleries went a little quiet. He was silenced by 88 minutes into the game. Salva Sevilla came close to leveling the score with a dangerous shot from the center of the area that went just over the bar. But it wasn’t the end of a crazy match either. In the seventh set minute, the judge whistled for Celta with another hand! Aspas took the lead again and became the hero of the Vigo team!
