The winners were the Norwegian national team, represented by Severert Baken, Philippe Fjeld Andersen, Sturl Holm Legreid and Vetle Schostad Kristiansen. The Norwegians finished in an hour, 12 minutes and 6.1 seconds. Swedish biathletes were 10.6 seconds behind, but the French team finished in the top three.

Edgars Mise was the first member of the Latvian team on the track, but he did not succeed in the shooting range, he handed over the relay to Rūdis Balodis, being in only 19th place.

Balodim did much better in the line of fire – although the first cartridges flew past the target, and the next five in each shooting range reached the target without error. However, he handed over the change to Robert Slotiņš, being in the penultimate place, ie in the 19th place.

Robert Slotiņa is almost overtaken by a circle

Robert also dealt with the first fire with only one spare cartridge. Before handing over the relay to Kirill Matjuhin, Slotiņš was almost in a hurry. But Cyril still had a chance to make his debut. However, he was soon overtaken, and Latvia finished participating in the relay race, being in the 19th position.
