Simultaneously occurring, ivars Punnenovs, guarding the net for langnau Tigers, faced a barrage of shots, ultimately making 24 saves out of 26. Despite his strong performance, the Tigers fell to the Lausanne HC with a score of 2-1. punnenovs’ save percentage of 92.31% highlights his crucial role in keeping the game close.
Adding to the Latvian success story, Ronald King, representing Lausanne HC, played a pivotal role in his team’s 2-0 shutout victory over fribourg-Gottéron. This win marked lausanne’s third consecutive shutout, solidifying their defensive prowess. King contributed offensively with a goal and defensively with a blocked shot. He also displayed his physicality, accumulating six penalty minutes during the game.
