LeBron drops his 3 favorite teams to use on video games!

Bleacher Report / Youtube

LeBron James is one of the oldest players in the NBA, but he’s not necessarily out of touch with youngsters. For example, he too grew up in playing to basketball games on his consoles, and besides, he just revealed his three favorite franchises to use.

We could have forgotten seeing him play against the Wizards this Friday, with its new 50 point cardmost LeBron James isn’t very young anymore… At 37, he almost looks like a dinosaur in an ever younger and more spirited league, and if you can’t see it physically, it’s much more noticeable when he expresses himself. He clearly does not have the same cultural references as his younger colleagues.

When we were younger, we never took Utah on video games. Karl Malone and John Stockton were great players, but nobody took them.

LeBron James Sonics fan on NBA Jam

When LeBron James played his first video game, he could select Karl Malone and John Stockton, whereas most players in the league today started with the King… After his card against Washington, LeBron also returned to his youth, revealing his three favorite teams on NBA Jam, the star game of the time. Already when he was young, he loved the show.

At the time I was playing with the Seattle Supersonics, because it gave you the opportunity to play with the Gary Payton / Shawn Kemp duo. Sometimes I used the Bulls but Michael Jordan was not in the game… I liked the Mavericks with Jason Kidd and Jamal Mashburn. Oh, the Warriors too with the famous Run TMC! I was always trying to catch fire, then you could shoot from midfield, which didn’t exist in real life back then.

In this legendary game of 2 against 2 all-terrain, LeBron James obviously liked to combine a leader and a dominant interior, with always an assurance of putting on a show. Shawn Kemp was an unstoppable dunker, Jason Kidd a great passer from distance, and Tim Hardaway a quick player who was difficult to take the ball. The King definitely tasted good.

Today, most of the players who arrive in the league have only known 2K and LeBron James in terms of video games… But the King is from another era, and he started his career as a gameur on NBA Jam, with legends like Shawn Kemp and Tim Hardaway.
