The phenomenal performance last night was demonstrated by the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) icon Lebron James, who forged a 124: 116 victory for his Los Angeles Lakers against the Golden State Warriors.
Lebrons scored 56 points, collected 10 rebounds and made three assists. It was the third most successful game of his career. James scored another 56 points in 2005, but he only had twice as many points – in 2017, he stood out with 57 points in one of the matches, and set a career record with 61 points in 2014.
At the age of 37 and 65 days, James became the fourth oldest player to score at least 50 points in an NBA match. He is preceded only by Kobe Braient, who scored 60 points in 37 years and 234 days in 2016, Michael Jordan, who managed to score 51 points in 38 years in 2001, and Jamal Crawford, who is an NBA record holder with 51 points in 2019 because performed at the age of 39.
The NBA superstar was modest after the match, saying that he just felt good about the game and “every inch of the field”. Carmelo Anthony, meanwhile, praised the teammate. “He was phenomenal and the main reason we played and won,” said Carmelo, who was also praised by Warriors head coach Steve Ker. “He was great. Lebrons showed an impressive performance! ”
Russell Westbrook added another 20 points to Los Angeles, and Anthony added 14 points. Meanwhile, Warriors had 30 points for Stefan Curry and 23 for Jordan. The balls did not fall into the basket for Clay Thompson, who scored only three of the 13 shots from the game.
