FIBA European Cup
Latvian basketball player Kristīne Vītola scored 16 points in the second game of the International Cup Basketball Federation’s (FIBA) Eurocup final in Wednesday, when the Piriakia team “Olympiakos” coached by Mārtiņš Zībarts failed in the field and lost in the sum of two games.
In the away field, Olympiakos lost to the French team Tango with a result of 59:76 (14:15, 13:22, 5:22, 27:17), losing 119: 149 in the sum of two games.

“Daugavpils University” won the game of the elite group of the Baltic Women’s Basketball League (BSBL) on its field on Wednesday.
Daugavpils overtook Klaipeda International University with the result 73:51 (27:13, 17:14, 15:12, 14:12).
Valerija Baranovska and Kristīne Jefimenko scored 21 points for the home team, as well as eight rebounds and nine rebounds, respectively.
In the Klaipeda unit Vanja Petroviča stood out with 11 points.
In another game “Riga Stradins University”, Kaunas “Aiste LSMU” conceded with the result 63:68 (17:13, 14:16, 21:15, 11:24).

12 teams are participating in the Baltic League elite group tournament – five from Latvia and Lithuania, as well as two from Estonia. After the two-lap tournament, the top two teams will qualify for the final four tournament, while the 3rd-6th place winners in the quarter-finals series will see two more Final 4 participants.
