The Leones del Caracas announced Juan Carlos Escobar as the new President of the teamthis after the vacant position remained after the death of Luis Ávila in August of last year.
Escobar is an Economist from the Central University of Venezuela and has seven years of professional experience within the organization, to which he has been linked since his time as a fan of it.
During the 2021-2022 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP)served as General manager of the team, living close by and participating in its structuring.
In that same campaign, the long-haired finished with a positive record of 26-23, qualifying for the Round Robin in third place del standing and later being eliminated after culminating as the fourth place of the instance.
With the arrival of Juan Carlos Escobar to the presidency, it is expected that the Caracas Lions can stay on the path of victory and lifting the 21st title in the history of the organization.
For now, the new President is making preparations for what will be the club’s 80th anniversaryto be held during the 2022-2023 season of the LVBP.
