The Baloncesto La Mojonera club is undefeated in the first position in the women’s mini-basketball competition. The girls from “Cooperativa La Victoria” trained by Cata and Elena continue to train at a good pace and highly motivated as they enter the competition, playing twelve matches with twelve victories so far.
The children’s women’s team “Magar” also thanks to the victories achieved this weekend against CB Almeria and Roquetas has come to lead the women’s competition. The Mojoneras played a great match to get the lead against the capital women with a good atmosphere on the track and in the stands, leaving the victory at home 62-40. The team trained by Jesús and Tina doubled the day, also achieving victory in Roquetas 38-57. The female cadets “Mamen & your photography” currently occupy third position, achieving last week a victory of many carats against the unbeaten leader of the CB Almeria competition so far. The players trained by Povilas improve with each training session and hope to finish the competition in good shape to face the final four.
The junior girls “Ciformotor La Mojonera” once the regular league is over have been ranked second, so next weekend the final four will be played at the La Mojonera pavilion after beating Roquetas at home in a very exciting match since the landmarks had to win by 4 points to achieve a favorable basket average. The winner of the final four will get a place for the Andalusian championship.
Undoubtedly a splendid balance that the women’s teams of CB La Mojonera are achieving at the moment, without forgetting the men’s teams that are also competing at a high level as well as the women’s first national team being the smallest municipality in terms of population refers to representation in the first female national of all Andalusia.
CB La Mojonera has more than 200 players, practically all of them children from La Mojonera, with the very important help of La Mojonera Town Hall.
