Mark Marquez be outspoken about the condition of the new asphalt Mandalika Circuit before the race MotoGP Mandalika which will be held on March 18-20.
The Mandalika Circuit has been re-paved on some tracks on Wednesday (9/3). The Mandalika Grand Prix Association (MGPA) successfully completed the re-paving before the deadline given by Dorna and the FIM.
“During the pre-season test it was very difficult to overtake at Mandalika, because there was only one race line,” said Marquez discussing the conditions of the Mandalika Circuit during the pre-season test. AS.
However, Marquez believes that the asphalt condition of the Mandalika Circuit will be better when undergoing MotoGP this weekend. The Repsol Honda racer is also optimistic that the Mandalika Circuit track will be cleaner.
“Dorna have done a great job and they [MGPA] I have re-paved part of the track and the conditions will definitely be cleaner,” said Marquez.
Marquez himself considers the Mandalika Circuit a circuit with a simple character. But the eight-time world champion thinks that racing at the Mandalika MotoGP will be very entertaining, especially because of the enthusiasm of the audience in Indonesia.
