To address this, we’ve had to think outside the box. mathieu has participated in competitions outside our region to gain experience against diverse opponents.This strategy has been crucial in preparing him for the intensity of national-level events.

Aurélie Launay: Absolutely. Diversifying competition experience is essential, especially in weight categories with fewer participants. It not only builds technical skills but also mental resilience. For exmaple, his kata practice has improved his precision, which is crucial for high-level competition.

Aurélie Launay: my primary expectation is for Mathieu to give his best performance. This is his first time at the national level, and the competition will be fierce.We’re focusing on maintaining his composure and executing the techniques we’ve worked on. If he can do that, I believe he’ll make a strong impression.
