The Italian achieved the first victory of the year in the Moto3 World Championship with a fight to the finish line with the Spaniard, with the Japanese Kaito Toba in third place

The first Moto3 race of the year was marked by two events. The first, originating on Saturday, which disfigured the starting grid. A controversial decision by the race management ruined the chances of the author of the pole, Izan Guevara, the theoretical favorite in the fight for the title, Dennis Foggia, and one of the fastest, Tatsuki Suzuki.

On paper, for slowing down their march in official training, a maneuver that the fastest sometimes use to avoid being penalized by the attempt of other pilots to catch their references and that this time turned against them. The Spanish and the Japanese started from the back of the grid and had to serve a long lap penalty; the Italian was located in the same area at the start, but he had two long laps to complete.

Almost ruled out these three, everything was very expensive from the start for the one who inherited the pole, the Japanese Ayumu Sasaki, who pressed with a much higher pace and established a difference that seemed impossible for his rivals to reduce… until his bike He was thrown into the air and he landed heavily on her, causing a mechanical failure that put him out of the game. And he completely changed the landscape.

The fight was between four pilots of a group that had come to have up to ten members (including debutant Iván Ortolá and Xavi Artigas). And the last lap duel in a matter of two, with Andrea Migno being able to always keep his head to prevail by 37 thousandths over Sergio García, who had previously served another long lap penalty, this one for coming into contact with Carlos Tatay. Japanese Kaito Toba finished third.
