MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred reported that the first week of the 2022 regular season has been cancelled. Consequently, the first two series will not be played and that caused anger in several star players in the league.
Pitcher Marcus Stoman said Manfred should go after this unfortunate episode.

Alex Wood said that MLB has been lying all along and that they have tried to blame the players in the negotiation process.
FWIW MLB has pumped to the media last night & today that there’s momentum toward a deal. Now saying the players tone has changed. So if a deal isn’t done today it’s our fault. This isn’t a coincidence. We’ve had the same tone all along. We just want a fair deal/to play ball.

For now, both parties have not scheduled a new negotiation day.
